Læringsverkstedet agreement for kindergarten admission
These are our standard terms and other information which, together with the prevailing articles of association (Norwegian: vedtektene) pursuant to section 8 of the Kindergarten Act (Norwegian: barnehageloven) for the relevant kindergarten*, form the agreement for admission between the kindergarten and caregivers:
Admission is conditional upon municipal funding. It requires that the child actually starts at the kindergarten on the assigned date, and no later than the census dates determined by the municipality. If a different start date is chosen and this results in a loss of income for the kindergarten, it, inter alia, may lead to the loss of the offered admission.
Kindergarten fees are charged from the admission date, not the actual start date (if different from the admission date). If caregivers accept the admission but later decide not to use it, one month’s fee will be charged.
The kindergarten has the right to interact with, individually and collectively, all those with parental responsibility and contact rights and others as appropriate. Those with parental responsibility are jointly liable for obligations under the agreement.
The jurisdiction of Romerike and Glåmdal District Court is agreed as the legal venue for disputes regarding parental payments.
*The regulations are available on the kindergarten’s page at laringsverkstedet.no. If caregivers do not have internet access, they may request a paper copy from the kindergarten.
